How is this different from Elangomat?
As a luminary, you form important relationships with the new members which help them to see Scouting through a different lens.
Can new members become Luminaries?
Yes! Anyone who has gone through the induction experience can become a luminary after being properly trained.
What will I be required to do?
After going through the induction experience and expressing interest in becoming a luminary, you will be asked to attend weekly training sessions so that you can be successful. Then, you will lead a crew of about 8 new members through their own induction experience. Lastly, you will be expected to stay in contact with them and help them get involved in the Order of the Arrow.
What if I can’t attend every training?
While we encourage you to be at as many of the training sessions as you can, we recognize many people are busy. We are working on making recordings of each training session that we will ask you to watch in your own time to keep up.
