Lodge Leadership

Takhone Lodge is led by the Lodge Executive Committee (LEC), a governing body of youth arrowmen comprised of both elected and appointed positions. The LEC is responsible for all aspects of lodge operation. The Key 7 is the group of arrowmen who serve in elected office and is the steering committee for the lodge. The LEC carries out the business of the lodge by planning and coordinating fellowship and induction weekends, service projects, training sessions, and other events as appropriate. It consists of the elected youth officers, appointed youth committee chairman, and chapter representatives.

Lodge Executive Committee Meetings

The Lodge Executive Committee meets once a month, typically from 2-4 pm on the second Sunday of every month at the Union Church of Hinsdale (137 S Garfield St, Hinsdale, IL 60521). Some meeting dates and locations change, so please check our calendar for up to date meeting information. All members of Takhone lodge are welcome and invited to attend. Any youth under the age of 21 present at the meeting can vote on matters of the lodge, whether they have been a member for 5 days or 5 years.

Lodge Chief

The Takhone Lodge Chief is the highest elected youth in the Lodge and Pathway to Adventure Council. They preside over the Lodge Executive Committee, which is responsible for executing the annual program of the lodge.

Structure

The LEC is divided into 6 pillars with each Vice Chief leading the pillar and overseeing the committees under them. Each of the committees is led by a youth chairman who reports to the LEC. Each LEC term runs from June 1 to May 31 of each year. If you are interested in serving as a LEC Chairman or as a committee member, reach out to the lodge chief at lodgechief(at)oa7.org
