A: All staff should park in the paved parking lot outside of the gate. Staff camping onsite on Saturday night will need to move their car after the close of the hike on Saturday to the gravel area in the Northeast corner of the site near the maintenance building so that we can keep the paved lot free for Sunday morning churchgoers.
A: Guides are recommended to wear a costume, preferably in-theme. This year’s theme is tall tales so you could dress up as a character from one of those stories, or you could wear a different costume of your choice.
Note that guide costumes are not a place guts and gore. Masks should not be worn during the non-scare times on Saturday. Guides should also bring a flashlight and keep it handy. You are expected to read a script from notecards.
A: We rely on our whole team for this event to be a success. If you need a scheduling change please reach out to Theo J. or Mr. Chuchla via slack or email and work with them to coordinate your needs.
A: Dinner will be provided to staff free of charge every day during setup and the event itself (except for teardown Sunday) Brunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday. Dinner will be served on a grab and go basis at the concession window during setup days. Typically around sunset. On event days, please work with your team lead and do rolling breaks for dinner to ensure that the hike continues uninterrupted. Dinner will be in the staff tent behind the main building when we are open to the public.
